About Us

John, the founder and face of Burdick’s Cleaning, started his journey in the cleaning business back in junior high. A teacher, who worked as a cleaner after hours, needed an assistant, and John, eager to save for a car, took on the role. This early experience sparked a lifelong passion, leading him to establish Burdick’s Cleaning in 1991. A few years after opening Burdick's Cleaning, John became Pennsylvania's first Certified Master Cleaner through the IICRC (Reg # 14768) in 1995.
John went on to win the "Best of Bucks" County award for 9 years in a row, which no other cleaner has accomplished before, based on the votes of his local community.

John brings a wealth of technical knowledge and a love for tackling unique textiles and cleaning challenges. He specializes in fine wool rugs, silk, and other delicate upholstered pieces, including advanced protections and contaminate removal, and he continuously seeks professional development to stay current with industry trends. His expertise allows him to handle any surface with confidence, and he’s especially proud of the loyal clients who have trusted Burdick’s Cleaning since the beginning.

FAQS

What cleaning methods does Burdick's use for carpets and upholstery?

Burdick's Cleaning specializes in hot water extraction, commonly known as steam cleaning. This method is highly effective for deep cleaning, as it injects hot water and cleaning solutions into the fibers to remove dirt, bacteria, allergens, and residues. They utilize truck-mounted equipment to ensure maximum cleaning power and efficiency.

How does Burdick's handle pet stains and odors?

Pet accidents can penetrate beyond the carpet fibers into the padding and subfloor, making them difficult to treat. Burdick's uses specialized enzymes designed to break down pet urine and other biological residues, effectively neutralizing odors and eliminating stains. For heavily soiled areas, they offer comprehensive odor and stain removal services to restore freshness and cleanliness to your carpet.

How often should I have my upholstery professionally cleaned?

It's recommended to clean heavily used furniture every 12–18 months. Regular cleaning helps remove accumulated dust, smoke, oils, and allergens, keeping your furniture looking and feeling fresh. For added protection, consider applying fabric protectors like Teflon™ or Scotchgard™ when you purchase new furniture to help prevent spills from setting.
